Two friends with an idea
We started printing city models in a spare room in Dublin in 2025, after making one of Grafton Street as a birthday present for one of our friends. It took 7 attempts to get it to a standard we were happy with.
Behind Mounted Maps is now a dedicated team of 4 people with a passion towards craftsmanship.
Every model gets its edges sanded, its frame fitted and must pass a strict quality check before it gets sent out to your doorstep.

Can you do any location?
Anywhere on earth. Search an address in the configurator and you will see a live 3D render of exactly what you are getting before you pay. Dense city centres show the most detail, open countryside the least.
How long will it take to arrive?
We print, finish and dispatch within 1 to 3 days. Delivery depends on what you opted for shipping but usually between 3-10 working days.
What is it made of?
The model is 3D printed in layers, then the supports are cut away, the edges sanded and the frame fitted by hand. It is light enough to hang on a plasterboard wall with a single fixing.
How does it hang?
We provide you fixings in the box and it sits flat against the wall. The smallest size also stands on a shelf or mantelpiece without any fixing at all.
Does it work as a gift?
It is most of what we make. Anniversaries, weddings, retirements, moving-in presents. Add gift option for custom gift wrapping and the option to leave a custom typed letter inside.
What if something is wrong with it?
Send us a photo and we will replace it or refund you. You have 30 days.
